Joel Osteen needs to preach of the teaching of Christ not some feel good message, Jesus told us to work out our salvation! He is the way,the truth and the life. I don`t care if you offend anyone, you speak the truth because only that would make you free. Jesus is calling for servants, it is sad to see these many people in his church listening to a positive thinking message. If the gospel be hid, it is hid from those that are lost. The gospel is Jesus and his resurrection not family relations!

you don’t have the power or right to judge, but you do have the power and right to rebuke. a lot of what osteen preaches is not biblical, and that is easily seen in how he preaches the prosperity gospel.

I know you don’t hate him noivad1. I only defend him because only evil tries to bring a man of Jesus down. He has lots of followers and the devil hates it. It’s true that Joel doesn’t teach traditionally but so what. He’s not saying anything false. And he is not Jesus and doesn’t claim to be. He’s just doing what he feels God wants him to do. And if he’s wrong, then God can send him to if that’s what he wants. Let’s worry about our own eternity. I personally think God is happy.

We already know this. It’s been thousands of years! If you want to hear the same thing over and over again for thousands of years, fine. I’m not only accepting Christ due to fear. I love him with all of my heart by choice and because I feel him. Joel tries in a different way other than trying to scare people into loving him.

i dont hate joel i love him your getting the wrong idea…though we love him defending him is pointless because alot of the people that speak against him are right!!rather if you choose to see it or not..some of the things Rylucero told u is simply true..i mean how much did Jesus go around preaching about having a prosperous life to people its important no doubt..but jesus suffered for your sins and thats more important first the cross..plain and simple joel does compromise the word sometimes

@starscream The vanity of men, Joel compromises scriptures, preaches a false gospel and by these actions denies Christ! Jesus was never received with open arms by the great majority of people, but with rejection ,scorn, persecution, contempt and hatred like all of the other true prophets of God before him. Jesus condemned sin, spoke of divine judgment for the unbeliever and of eternal torment that awaits them. He unlike Joel Osteen spoke truth regarding His Word without compromise or denial.

And Joel says the same prayer at the end of every sermon. Which is to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and get into a good Christian based church and put God first in your life.

I don’t see you helping anyone on this planet. Not the way Joel does. People know that he is a follower of Jesus. And if they admire him and feel that he speaks the truth, then they too may decide to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. What if you were born into a Jewish family. I don’t see you converting to another religion. You believe Jesus is the Son of God as do I. These people believe what they were taught to believe. Telling them that they HAVE TO won’t change anything.

Oh Rylucero, haven’t you read the Bible. I don’t need some MAN, human, or minister to tell me what’s going to happen to me if I don’t except Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I read it and I already know. Just because Joel doesn’t say the same things that other ministers say doesn’t mean anything. He doesn’t need to put fear into me about what’s going to happen. Joel is saying what God wants him to say.

Are you a Minister or someone like Joel Osteen? If not, this man does more in the name of Jesus than anybody else on this page. This man helps millions of people. How many have you or I helped. I try to do my part, but fall unbelievably short when compared to Joel.

@starscream4282 It is our place as believers to speak the truth regarding condemnation, hell, judgment and sin. Those who are placed in positions of Spiritual Authority such as Joel Osteen and claim to be followers of Jesus Christ are called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. A true follower of God would speak of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that false prophets such as Joel Osteen do not.

@starscream4282 We are not to stand idly by and allow false prophets who lead those who place their trust in men who falsely teach them doctrines of devils and who put into danger their very souls. Joel Osteen has no desire to discuss the ramifications of physical, spiritual, and eternal death for the unbeliever that leads not only to separation of body, soul, and spirit from God, but to hopeless separation in eternal torment.

@starscream4282 We are not to judge others, the truth is that we are to “Test the Spirit” (1 John 4:1) to see if it is from God. The bible is very specific when it comes to someone presenting a message or doctrine to us that they claim to be the Word of God. This is not Judgment, but testing by means of spiritual discernment and biblical truth. Joel Osteen falls short of the standard set by God, is a false prophet, and is convicted of Heresy by Gods standard and Word.
